Arriving by Public Transport

The ISS DOME can be reached using various S-Bahn (suburban railway) lines, trams and buses:


S-Bahn connections:

  • S-Bahn S1 (Solingen/Dortmund) to the stop D-Unterrath S, then change to the Express Bus (729)
  • S-Bahn S6 (Essen/Köln) to the stop D-Rath S, then change to the Express Bus (757)
  • S-Bahn S11 (Bergisch Gladbach/Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal) to the stop D-Unterrath S, then change to the Express Bus (729)

 

Tram connections:

  • Tram line 701 (D-Rath S/D-Bilk S) to the stop D-Rath S, then change to the Express Bus (757)
  • Tram line 707 (D-Unterrath S/D-Medienhafen, Kesselstraße) to the stop D-Unterrath S, then change to the Express Bus (729)
  • Tram line 705 (D-Unterrath S/D-Eller, Vennhauser Allee) to the stop D-Unterrath S, then change to the Express Bus (729)

 

Bus connections:

  • Bus number 730 (Freiligrathplatz/Benrath-Südallee) to the stop D-Unterrath S, then change to the Express Bus (E729)
  • Bus number 760 (Wittlaer/Ratingen Ost S) to the stop D-Unterrath S, then change to the Express Bus
  • Bus number 757 (D-Rath S/Ratingen Ost S) to the stop ISS DOME

 

Express Bus

The Express Bus from the stops 'D-Unterrath S' and 'D-Rath S' to the ISS DOME only operates on days when there are events at the ISS DOME. The Express Buses run at regular, frequent intervals before and after events.

The Express Bus serves the following routes (subject to change):

  • D-Unterrath S ISS DOME D-Unterrath S (729)
  • D-Rath S ISS DOME D-Rath S (757 ISS DOME)

Thanks to the connection to the Rhein-Ruhr transport association (VRR) network, you can also use the public transport systems of many other cities and communities as well as surcharge-free Deutsche Bahn AG trains in a single fare system.


Arriving by train

Travelling to Düsseldorf by train is environmentally friendly, inexpensive and relaxing. The main train station at Konrad-Adenauer-Platz is located in the city centre along the most travelled rail route in Germany.
